The children really enjoyed the volunteer readers today from Rotary
Read-a-long. They really loved asking questions about the books but also
about the readers themselves. And there were lots of surprises!. Constable
Nixon used his nightstick as a magic wand when he was reading to the grade
1s about a witch and pure magic filled the room. We had a delegation of
boys joyfully escort one of the Memorial Seahawks back to the office after
they had listened to him read to their grade 6 class. They were
thrilled about the whole event. From the five year olds to budding
adolescents your readers kept them all enthralled ! And also a great big
thanks for the books you left behind. We will be using them right away in
our classrooms. Thank you so much.
