I knew joining Rotary would open so many doors both personally and professionally for me. However, I never knew that reading to children would give me such a sense of giving and a feeling of pride in what Rotarians do. The children really enjoyed the volunteer readers today from Rotary Read-a-long. They really loved asking questions about the books but also about the readers themselves. And there were lots of surprises!. Constable Nixon used his nightstick as a magic wand when he was reading to the grade 1s about a witch and pure magic filled the room. We had a delegation of boys joyfully escort one of the Memorial Seahawks back to the office after they had listened to him read ..
